Junior Suites

Bespoke finishes, opulent fabrics and original design elements within the Junior Suites tell the story of a history that dates back centuries. Each as utterly unique as they were in their heyday, these rooms are where Irish heritage meets contemporary comfort.
The Butler 102

The Butler

As comfortable as it is glamorous, this room originally formed part of Lady Caroline Coote’s suite as her private bedchamber. Georgian furniture, dramatic red wallpaper and mezzotint portraits are a nod to the past, all of which are set against glorious views of the lake beyond.
The Lady Caroline Coote 117

Lady Caroline Coote

Once Lady Caroline Coote’s boudoir, where her guests were received in private, this room is one of Ballyfin’s most charming. From its rococo stucco ceiling to its vivid blue walls and bright, floral accents, it has lost none of its convivial and intimate spirit.
The Little Library 105

The Little Library

Readers rejoice. Formed by joining two bedrooms on the mezzanine, the Little Library speaks to all those of a bookish disposition. Large, spacious and with views from the bathroom over the Pleasure Grounds and Cascade, adventure and romance line the walls as much as they inform the atmosphere.
The Lady Kildare 111

The Lady Kildare

Admired for her beauty and style, Lady Kildare (later the Duchess of Leinster) famously visited Ballyfin in 1759 and fell in love with it. Combining grandeur with sumptuous fabrics and an opulent marble fireplace, views stretch across the lawn to the lake Lady Kildare expressed a particular fondness for.
The Lady Mornington 102

The Lady Mornington

Named after the Wellesley matriarch and mother of Ballyfin owner, William Wellesley-Pole, The Lady Mornington’s gentle pink walls and Indian ‘tree of life’ fabrics are set against a collection of paintings that include a 17th-century Flemish depiction of the Madonna and Child.
