With its vaulted ceilings, limestone columns and arched storage bins the Cellar is a wonderfully atmospheric setting for wine tasting and private dining.
Among its more charming stories is that of the Irish Wine Geese of Bordeaux. Fleeing persecution at home, these Irish winemakers became some of the great pioneers of 18th-century viticulture. In tribute to that legacy, Ballyfin’s Cellar includes carefully chosen wines from fourteen vineyards founded by Irish exiles.
