Luxury Suites in Co. Laois
The pinnacle of the Ballyfin experience, the Suites recall an era when high society made this estate famous in the early 19th century. Large, spacious and unapologetically sumptuous, each unique Suite strikes the perfect balance between awe-inspiring grandeur and familial warmth.
The Sir Christopher Coote
The largest bedroom in the house, the Sir Christopher Coote Suite is named in honour of the 15th Baronet. A large sitting room with bow windows looks out over the fountains, while the walls are intricately decorated with 18th-century Chinese wallpaper panels from the Prince of Hanover’s collection.
The Duke of Wellington
Embodying the 18th-century Irish country house style, striped silks and floral fabrics bring a cheerful lightness to this spacious Suite, named after the famous Duke of Wellington. An homage to the connection the duke had with Ballyfin after his brother inherited the estate in 1781.
The Wellesley-Pole
With its opulent sitting room, large bedroom and views across the Pleasure Grounds, the Wellesley-Pole Suite is a magnificent example of Georgian living. Once known as the Garden Room, carefully curated features include the original period chimneypiece of white and Siena marble.
