Set in the corner of the walled garden, just a stones throw from the main house. This comfortable two-storey house set in such close proximity to the landlord’s residence is indicative of the crucial role the Head Gardeners played in the economy of the estate over several hundred years.
This charming and comfortable cottage has been refurbished and enhanced to provide an extensive suite for guests, with views over the parkland, partial views of the lake and to the productive vegetable garden and flower borders on the other. A spacious living room with two fireplaces gives access to a private patio. Adjoining is a small kitchen and a cloak room; upstairs, there are two bathrooms and a large airy bedroom. Off the bedroom, a balcony overlooks the walled garden and a stairway leads to a hot tub on the private terrace.
