Sasha Sykes
Artist in Residence: Sasha Sykes 1st - 4th December
Working between Dublin and Carlow, Sasha Sykes has a background in architecture and is renowned for her work with plants and cast acrylic to make sculptural objects and design pieces. Her work has been exhibited extensively in Ireland and abroad and is represented in many notable private and public collections.
These residencies will offer guests a rare opportunity to witness the creative process in real time, within the serene and inspiring setting of our estate. During their stays, visiting artists will paint, sketch, or explore new works, drawing inspiration from the landscapes, architecture, and atmosphere of Ballyfin. Many will display selected pieces around the house, and each artist has generously agreed to engage with guests in informal settings.
