Ballyfin and The Merrion Hotel present "Inspiring Irish Art Weekends"

Together, the new Inspiring Art Weekends will reveal and celebrate Irish art through the works in both hotels. On each of the three weekends, experts from the National Gallery of Ireland, in Dublin, and Irish art connoisseur William Laffan, at Ballyfin, will share their knowledge and bring the works to life, giving guests a uniquely privileged insight into Irish art.

Romantic Package - 1 Night

Enjoy a romantic getaway at Ballyfin. Our package includes Champagne and Strawberries on arrival, lunch or afternoon tea on day of arrival in a location of your choice….the romantic conservatory, a hideaway picnic or the candlelit cellar. Spend the afternoon exploring the demesne on our tandem bike. Let our butler row you across the lake, visit the tower, grottos and walled gardens. Clay Pigeon Shooting - 1 night

Arrive at Ballyfin and enjoy lunch on arrival followed by an exhilarating afternoon of clay pigeon shooting with the 18th century tower in the background. Our butler will guide you in the skill and art of clay pigeon shooting. Whether you are a beginner or expert you will enjoy this sport. Perfect your aim, time your shots and let the competitive streak shine in you. Following clay pigeon shooting climb the steps to the top of Ballyfin tower, take in the views and enjoy a hot whiskey and homemade cake.
